Our Philosophy

By teaching values and spirituality to the children we hope to instill in them a sacredness for life, respect for self and for others as well as give them hope. The children will have had much taken away from them, most notably, their families. Without the security of a family, their future is questionable. When given hope, security, and a strong sense of right and wrong- the children will be able to lead healthy lives. We want them to know that whatever anyone takes from them, no one can take their faith, their hope in God.

And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us, and he made no distinction between us and them, having cleansed their hearts by faith. Acts 15:8-9

The goal for family style living is to promote healthy relationships and social development. Traditional orphanages are much like warehouses, large rooms with several beds lined up against the walls and high number of children per caregiver ratio. The main goal in traditional orphanages seems to be to keep the children under control, not develop them as individuals. Having a home and everything that goes along with that- is something we all too often take for granted. Just like you and I, individual children have different needs that need to be met in order to succeed. Each child will have different strengths, weaknesses, and gifts that we will work to develop. Children were made to be in families. God intended it that way and we will model our vision after His.

God sets the lonely in families ... Psalms 68:6.

The greatest gift that comes from being in a family is the unconditional love it provides. We believe that combined with taught life skills, a quality education and adequate medical care, they will become healthy, happy adults who will be able to full fill their God given purpose.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
